Here in Okinawa we have a unique type of Adventist Christian Education provided by Saniku Japanese Adventist Schools.  Saniku provides more than your basic reading writing and arithmetic.  The word Saniku is representative of the schools trifold value system focusing on education for Mind, Body and Spirit.  Students at Saniku enjoy a multiplicity of outdoor educational activities in the form of agriculture, sports and ecological science.  The Spiritual atmosphere at Saniku is second to none and is kept in the highest honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Students are taught that spiritual health is maintained through connection with Christ through the Holy Spirit by having a intentional devotional life as well as by living a healthy lifestyle.  As an Educational Institution sponsored by the Japan Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventist, Saniku believes it is important that students treat their bodies as a temple, thus Saniku provides a healthy vegetarian diet.  Saniku has a reputation of excellence for it's emphasis on the wholistic approach to education; their hands on staff places the highest value on your child's success.  As a proud parent of a Saniku student, I Pastor Joel Klimkewicz highly recommend Saniku to all seeking to provide a well balanced Christian Education for their children.  For more information about Saniku in English please feel free to contact me personally.  For information in Japanese we have provided a link for both Saniku Elementary School as well as Saniku Junior High School Academy.
