Welcome all Military Worshipers

At OIC we embrace our proud military history. We believe that we are first citizens of heaven, but that does not negate the fact that many are compelled to serve their country in keeping with their conscience. As Seventh-day Adventist we leave the choice of military service to be decided by individual conscience, although we recognize that there are times when faith and duty to country can come into conflict with each other. In cases of conflict concerning religious accommodations we are able to offer moral support, connection to an Active Duty Military Chaplain and correspondence with the department of Adventist Chaplaincy Ministry (ACM) located at our General Conference Headquarters. In keeping with the military tradition of "God and Country" we seek to uphold the highest standards of Biblical morality while also choosing to serve our nation. OIC has many active duty United States Armed Forces men and women serving in both combatant and non-combatant military occupations.  No church goer attending OIC needs to apologize for his or her commitment to their country as long as their commitment to God comes first.

"For God and Country!"

The Above service members honor the Memory of the late Seventh-day Adventist World War II Veteran and first Conscientious Objector Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, Cpl. Desmond T. Doss United States Army.
